Waterproofs Again thses can vary greatly in weight and price, both in jackets and trousers. Starting from basic coated items up to lightweight gore tex. Decide on whether you want small pack size or extra warmth. Prices from £15 up to £140
Trousers Outdoor trousers have extra pockets and dry quickly. They are available in different styles and weights, some zip off to convert to shorts. Prices from £20 up to £60
Fleeces Available in different weights and styles, these are excellent for warmth and are low in weight. Thicker for wind protection, thinner for small pack size. Prices from £20 up to £60
Base Layer Essential first layer of clothing, especially if wearing a breathable jacket ! Moves moisture away from your skin. Very light and dries quickly. Prices from £20 up to £50
Lighting Essential for night use. Whether it is a torch or headlamp, LED is the way to go as the batteries last longer. Dont forget spare batteries ! Prices from £5 up to £53
Knife/ Multi tool From a single blade to a Swiss Army knife with many features, or maybe a multi tool. Not just a knife, but so many other uses too. Prices from £5 up to £70
